Listen free to Pixies – Pixies at the BBC (Wild Honey Pie, There Goes My Gun and more). Pixies at the BBC is a compilation of live BBC radio sessions by the American alternative rock band Pixies. Released by Elektra Records in 1998, five years after their initial split, it was recorded over several sessions between 1988 and 1991 at the BBC. All songs were written by Black Francis except tracks 1 and 15. The final track, "(In Heaven) Lady in the Radiator Song" was written by Peter Ivers and David Lynch for Eraserhead.

This album is called the pixies at the BBC. It is a compilation of songs from albums and B-sides that have been chosen. It is quite an early album which was recorded and destributed in 1998. It has a collection of songs from I think all of their albums and it even contains a great Beetles classic- Wild honey pie. I hope youre not dissapointed

Pixies at the BBC. Pixies. Released July 6, 1998. Pixies at the BBC Tracklist. 1. Wild Honey Pie Lyrics.

The gem in question on "Pixies At The BBC" is their hysterical reading of The Beatles' "Wild Honey Pie", a furious collage of lacerated guitars and Francis' pained yelping, while the eerie version here of "(In Heaven) Lady In The Radiator Song" (from David Lynch's provocative movie, Eraserhead, and originally a B-side to "Gigantic") marks it out as one of the. most beautifully unhinged songs the Pixies ever performed. - New Musical Express. the whole arrangement was inferior to the one in this cd. Kim Deal's vocals are very feint, and the intro isn't as good either. That song is a good example of compilations like this improving on the originals. The flipside of that is songs like "Monkey gone to Heaven".
