Girl Overboard (оригинал Girls Aloud). Девушка за бортом (перевод DD из Рубцовска). Девушка за бортом! I thought I had it but I stumbled.
Man Overboard is the second studio album by the American rock band Man Overboard. After the release of their debut album Real Talk (2010), guitarist Wayne Wildrick left the group, resulting in several line-up changes. In December 2010, the group had signed to independent label Rise Records, and aimed to release another album by fall of next year. Following Wildrick's return to the band in April 2011, the group began demoing songs for their next album the following month.
Girl Overboard were a pop rock band formed in 1985 as Separate Tables by Robin Gist on guitar, Brett McNaughton on keyboards and Lisa Schouw on lead vocals. In 1989, with an expanded line-up, they changed their name. Girl Overboard released two albums: Paint a Picture (March 1990), which reached number 18 on the ARIA Albums Charts, and Go in 1993. Their highest charting singles are "I Can't Believe" (No. 43, December 1989) and "The Love We Make" (No. 23, March 1990). The group split up in late 1993.
Jackie Girl (named in tribute to '60s chanteuse Jackie DeShannon) may not quite have the pop smarts of Sunshine, or the heady orchestral textures of Azure, but it's nevertheless a fascinating stopping-off point between the two. Utilizing his broadest palette to date, including then-XTC guitarist David Gregory, Louis Philippe succeeds in giving songs like "Every Day Gone By" and "She Means Everything to Me" a muscularity and an edge that were missing from Sunshine. Yet it's a leftover from the Sunshine sessions that provides Jackie Girl with its most stunning six minutes. Deauville" is a starkly dramatic ballad, with a brooding, Bernard Herrmann-esque string arrangement that would grace any Scott Walker album.
