Thunder and Lightning (album). Thunder and Lightning is the twelfth and final studio album by Irish hard rock band Thin Lizzy, released in 1983. Guitarist John Sykes was hired to replace Snowy White after 1981's Renegade, and Sykes helped to provide a heavier sound and guitar tone than Thin Lizzy had used on previous albums. However, the bulk of the songwriting (except for "Cold Sweat") was completed before he joined the band.

When Naomi and Ruth came to Bethlehem, it was the time of the barley harvest; and Ruth went out into the fields to glean the grain which the reapers had left. And so Ruth gleaned in the fields of Boaz until the harvest had been gathered. At the end of the harvest, Boaz held a feast on the threshing-floor. And after the feast, by the advice of Naomi, Ruth went to him, and said to him: "You are a near relation of my husband and of his father, Elimelech. Now will you not do good to us for his sake?" And when Boaz saw Ruth, he loved her; and soon after this he took her as his wife. And Naomi and Ruth went to live in his home; so that Naomi's life was no more bitter, but pleasant.

Title: The Story of Ruth (1960). The story transcends some wooden acting and occasionally static dramatic scenes. The viewer will be swept along by the unusual tale of women triumphing over adversity in a male-dominated society.
Ruth eventually falls in love with Mahlon (Tom Tryon) and converts to Judaism. Once Mahlon dies, Ruth decides to escape with his mother Naomi (Peggy Wood) to Bethlehem, where her dramatic story and her love life continue. This is another biblical drama from Henry Koster (The Robe, 1953) that does not measure up to his earlier success, but then any adaptation of a short passage in the Bible would be hard-put to fill over two hours of screen time. Ruth's (Elana Eden) life is followed as she becomes a priestess for the Moabites, ruled over by a high priestess (Viveca Lindfors) whose character is not exactly holy.
