Each of these three musicians is a master and their thoughtful collaborations sound so easy and full of joy. If you like straight ahead jazz, this belongs in the smallest of collections. Flanagan recorded a terrific solo album in 1977 (Alone Too Long), and his earlier work also includes a couple of gems: Overseas and Moodsville Vol. 9: The Tommy Flanagan Trio.
