com/hplindstrom twitter. com/hplindstrom ww. plindstrom. That’s Hans-Peter Lindstrøm, Norway’s finest disher-up of cosmic techno, who’s whipped up a pumping new album with tracks titled like a tasting menu of his homeland’s underrated cuisine, from soup to nuts. Well, not quite: it’s more like ‘Raakost’ (raw vegetables) to ‘Vafler’ (waffles) – with lashings of ‘Lammelaar’ (dried salted lamb meat), ‘Vossakorv’ (‘a sheep-sausage made in Voss’), and ‘Eggedosis’ (‘what you get when you mix eggs and sugar with a blender.
Hans-Peter Lindstrøm threw devotees of his shimmering cosmic disco productions for a loop in early 2012 with the release of Six Cups of Rebel, a wild and wooly joyride through nutty, prog-flavored excess - complete with bizarro cartoon voices - that was by turns campy, grotesque, and sublimely gorgeous.

In March 2012 Lindstrøm released his fourth solo album titled Six Cups of Rebel, which for the first time in his career contains his own vocals. On 5 November 2012 Lindstrøm released his third solo studio album, Smalhans. After almost 4 years silence, the architect of space disco returned with his single "Home Tonight" featuring Grace Hall - being awarded 2nd place in Spin Magazines annual "Best Dance tracks" list in 2015. He spent the later part of 2015 releasing a handful of official remixes, among them a remix of ABBA's "Something's going on".
Lindstrom - Smalhans Earlier this year, one of electronic music's most dependably immersive producers was floundering. After almost ten years spent crafting some of dance music's most luxuriously Moroder-indebted epics, including 2005's ubiquitous "I Feel Space," Hans-Peter Lindstrøm's second album proper, February's Six Cups of Rebel, found the Norwegian beardo overdoing his already heady creations with barrages of noise and sonic detailing into a kind of woozy prog-disco pastiche. In an effort to overcome what many viewed as a reflection of writer's block, Lindstrøm spent only a month creating his second album of the year, Smalhans.
