The discography on the inside of the packaging says that "Bugle Call Rag" was recorded in 1922 by the New Orleans Rhythm Kings. This is absolutely true. The recording of "Bugle Call Rag" heard as track one of this CD, however, is not the 1922 NORK version. The rendition of "Bugle Call Rag" heard here was recorded by Allen with Billy Banks and His Orchestra (minus Banks who was late getting to the recording studio) on April 18 1932, and serves as a wonderful if improperly identified opener.

You're nobody, nobody's sweetheart now There's no place for you somehow With all of your fancy clothes, silken gowns You'll be out of place in the middle of your own hometown When you walk down the avenue All the folks just can't believe that it's you With all those painted lips and painted eyes Wearing a bird. of paradise It all seems wrong somehow It seems so funny You're nobody's sweetheart now! More on Genius. Nobody's Sweetheart" Track Info. Cab Calloway Cab Calloway. 3. Nobody's Sweetheart.
