Tonight's the Night is the sixth studio album by Canadian musician Neil Young, released in June 1975 on Reprise Records. It was recorded in August–September 1973, mostly on August 26, but its release was delayed for two years. It peaked at on the Billboard 200. In 2003, the album was ranked number 331 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.

Young kicked off the 90’s as he returned to the heavy distortion sounds with the album Ragged Glory released in 1990 and swiftly followed by a nationwide tour with punk band Social Distortion and Sonic Youth which saw the return of many old school fans.
Right after Neil Young and his then-backing band the Santa Monica Flyers wrapped up the extemporaneous sessions that would eventually be shaped into the 1975 album Tonight’s The Night, they were invited to help christen the stage at the Roxy nightclub.
