Jimmy Reed's "At Carnegie Hall" is amongst the best blues albums recorded in the 1960s. This SACD hybrid was remastered in DSD format by Steve Hoffman. The conventional CD layer gives the gold Mobile Fidelity version a run for its money. The SACD (high-res) layer captured every note from Jimmy Reed's guitar. This is now now deleted.

In several respects, this is a very strange album, though the music isn't strange at all and is in fact quite typical vintage Jimmy Reed. First, despite what the title might lead you to believe, this is not a live recording; all 23 of the tracks were done in the studio. Not only that, they weren't even performed at New York's famed venue Carnegie Hall, although producer Calvin Carter would later claim they were; instead, everything was cut elsewhere.

I am looking for information on a 1973 release from Blues Way BLX 6073. It does not have the 'pencil' image on the cover. It is a two record set with the same songs. The inside sleeves have a picture of a father, mother and child and says ABC/Dunhill records. Please tell me where it would be listed. Thanks/CJ
