This Land Is Your Land" is one of the United States' most famous folk songs. Its lyrics were written by American folk singer Woody Guthrie in 1940, based on an existing melody, a Carter Family tune called "When the World's on Fire", in critical response to Irving Berlin's "God Bless America. When Guthrie was tired of hearing Kate Smith sing "God Bless America" on the radio in the late 1930s, he sarcastically called his song "God Blessed America for Me" before renaming it "This Land Is Your Land.

Aku stood outside where her cooking-pot stood, With her two children shivering from the cold, She stands outside in the inclement weather, with no where else to go. She is standing in what was probably her kitchen, a place that used to be symbolic of warmth and home, and is now part of the freezing sea. She is not alone here though, she has the burden of two children to care fo. Kofi Awoonor was born in Ghana with the original name of George Awoonor-Williams. Soap breaks up the oil into smaller drops, which can mix with the water. It works because soap is made up of molecules with two very different ends. One end of soap molecules love water - they are hydrophilic. The other end of soap molecues hate water - they are hydrophobic. Hydrophobic ends of soap molecule all attach to the oil. Hydrophilic ends stick out into the water. This causes a drop of oil to form: These drops of oil are suspended in the water. This is how soap cleans your hands - it causes drops of grease and dirt to be pulled off your hands and suspended in water

Home, Williams Mug Soap. The Original Mug Soap. A Lasting Lather Since 1840. In 1840, James B. Williams manufactured the first shaving soap for use in shaving mugs. Today, Williams Mug Shaving Soap is still number one, because it lathers quickly, and the lather lasts. Don’t spare the hot water. Any mug will do. You can even use your hand. Use circular motions to brush up a thick lather. Rinse with cool water, towel dry, then finish with an aftershave such as Aqua Velva.

In the United States today there are more than half a million criminals serving time in prisons. Most prisoners are male high-school dropouts between the ages of 18 and 29. Even more shocking is the fact that the number and rate of imprisonment has more than doubled over the past twenty years, and the recidivism – that is, the rate for rearrest – is more than 60 percent. While he was recovering, he determined to write a play about his adventures on the sea. He went to Harvard, where he wrote the one-act Bound East for Cardiff. It was produced on Cape Cod by the Provincetown Players, an experimental theater group that was later to settle in the famous Greenwich Village theater district in New York City. The Players produced several more of his one-acts in the years between 1916-1920.
