NOFX must be joking to disown this, because it's is their best album. Most of their stuff afterward is embarrassing poppy garbage. 5 years ago. best album from em. I wanna see a NOFX show where they just play all of their old shit. 6 years ago. Heavy germs/negative fx/early 80's boston punk scene influences in this stuff on Mystic :) I have read now a million articles/interviews done by mike saying their early stuff was horrible crap. Its hard to believe that NOFX was ever actually punk listening to there last albums. 7 years ago. punk as it gets.

Mystic Records 180. CD.

All in all, Maximum Rocknroll is an impressive piece of post-metal thrash punk with an experimental edge. Also, keep in mind: Unlike many later No F-X releases, don't expect poppy melodies here. This album shows the band as proficient hardcore punk rockers that can twist out dark and cutting tunes. Lastly, check the cover of Black Sabbath's Iron Man. You won't be disappointed. 6 people found this helpful.
