Lovers Rock is the fifth studio album by English band Sade, released on 13 November 2000 by Epic Records. Following the release of Love Deluxe (1992), the band began an eight-year hiatus, during which time some band members began recording with American musician Maxwell and produced his debut album, Maxwell's Urban Hang Suite. Following the group's Love Deluxe World Tour, Stuart Matthewman, Paul Denman and Andrew Hale formed the group Sweetback.

Sade - Lovers Live has been added to your Cart. Sade fans may experience a range of emotions while watching the first-rate Lovers Live, but one thing they won't feel is shortchanged-not with nearly two hours of concert footage, 22 songs (including almost all of her Lovers Rock album), and DVD bonus features galore. That sultry, soulful Sade sound is in full effect throughout the concert (filmed at two Southern California locations in 2001), brought to life by a capable band, some superbly evocative visuals and sound effects, and, of course, the singer herself.

Lovers Live is the first live album by English band Sade, released on 5 February 2002 by Epic Records. It was recorded at the Arrowhead Pond in Anaheim, California on 20 September 2001 and at the Great Western Forum in Inglewood, California on 21 September as part of the band's Lovers Rock Tour. The CD contains thirteen tracks while the DVD contains twenty-two tracks as well as special features.

After a silence of eight years, in which there are no new work by her appeared, came back strongly in 2000 with the album Sade Lovers Rock. A typical Sadeplaat, though there was a slight shift in where to taking the quasi-jazz from her debut Diamond Life, to a more gitaargeoriënteerd sound. Her fans were found her not to have forgotten the album took out good sales figures in the United States, after which an extremely successful tour followed. Lovers Live is the registration of this row. Many of her old hits come over, such as Smooth Operator and Sweetest Taboo, as well as her last hit By Your Side. Note for note the songs acted out by the plate versions, so to hear much to the delight of the public. You can however, you wonder what the added value of these live versions, especially if you notes that the vocals of Sade too often to the false side. At the music of Sade set your a chic night club for, instead of a Hall with thousands of screaming fans. Lovers Live is a nice souvenir for visitors to its concerts, but not more.

Most Live albums are a disappointment, poor sound quality or lacklustre performance,things for the die-hard fans but not a match for the studio albums. This is an exception it sparkles with great sound and intimate performances, it contains more life and vitality than any of her studio albums. Sade is not everyone's cup of tea, but if you want to discover why so many people love her music put this on and let it transport you, an emotional journey of laidback sounds and heart-warming sentiment. Sade at her best.
