Noah is the second studio album by American rock band The Bob Seger System, released in 1969 (see 1969 in music). Seger was displeased with this album as it was the label's intention to showcase Tom Neme as the voice of the band. Seger contemplated quitting music altogether after this album. It has never been reissued on a legitimate .

Bob Seger is an aggravating man. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member has been making music for 50 years and still commands a large audience and constant airplay on classic rock radio everywhere. The single's B-side was another Seger-penned riotous raver, "Death Row," which was equally chaotic and intense.

Robert Clark Seger (/ˈsiːɡər/, born May 6, 1945) is an American singer-songwriter, guitarist and pianist. As a locally successful Detroit-area artist, he performed and recorded as Bob Seger and the Last Heard and Bob Seger System throughout the 1960s, breaking through with his first national hit and album in 1968. By the early 1970s, he had dropped the 'System' from his recordings and continued to strive for broader success with various other bands.

It's hard to tell whether Seger endorsed his mutiny or if he was just so disinterested that he didn't put up a fight, but all the same, the second Seger album, Noah, is one strange affair. The band makes no secret of the change, stating on the back cover that "Seger will always be Bob Seger, (but) any change must come from the System and Tom Neme. So, the liner notes seem like a way to gloss over a real lack of leadership or a coup, depending on your point of view.

For those of us under his spell, he posed the two greatest questions in rock 'n' roll: Doncha ever listen to the radio? and Do ya do ya wanna rock? He wrote the first anti-war rock song of the Vietnam era. He wrote about Lucy Blue, Chicago Green, Already Eddie and other characters long before Springsteen created Crazy Janey and her mission man.

Here I am, oh my time's rolling slowly by 21 years old, waiting on my turn to die Every minute Lord, every minute seems like five And if it wasn't for the window, I'd wonder if the world outside was alive Yeah, smokin cigarettes, drinkin' coffee And waiting on my last meal, I try to pretend.

Death Row. Bob Seger. I try to pretend but this cell is much too real Oh, I should have left that chick alone I curse the day, I curse the day she was born, now Oh the old men they tell me they tell me love is akin to hate but before I die, I just gotta get it straight now.
