I have no idea how to classify this. The A side is pretty cool, a really weird pop song, the electronics and vocal effects make it sound a bit like Dan Deacon. The B side though, I'm not into. It sounds like a seasick lounge singer, it goes on for a while and just gets on my nerves.

If you don't apply any styling products, then there is no need to wash your hair. No products, no need to wash them ou. Beyond this, there's growing recognition that perhaps we've become too clean as a society. Better still, when you do shampoo your hair, look for a natural shampoo that's more than just soap-based. The pH of soap-based cleansers is very basic, about 8 to 9, which can cause damage to your hair by lifting cuticles and causing reactions, which affect the disulfide bonds in your hair. Ingredients like sodium silicate and borax are added to help overcome the scum formation and dulling effect on your hair.

As celebrity hair stylist Scott Yance tells Bustle, everyone's texture is unique and therefore every type of hair will require different care. If you aren't sure what's best for you, "consult your stylist about how often you should be washing your hair to maximize its health, volume, and shine," he says. The general consensus, however, is that shampooing every day isn't a great idea. And yet, if you're prone to oiliness, the thought of not shampooing for just day can send shivers down your spine. If you aren't used to going a few days sans shampoo, you might notice a tingling itchiness creeping its way across your scalp. As stylist Jen Bennett tells Bustle, this happens because dirtier hair takes some getting used to. Thanks to the oils, it can change your texture and the overall feel of your hair, which will feel differently from freshly cleaned hair.

If you shampoo every day, it will strip your scalp of all its natural oils and can lead to dry, brittle hair, says Julien Farel of the Julien Farel Restore Salon & Spa in NYC. Farel hasn't found scientific evidence to support this phenomenon, but that he has noticed his own clients become far less greasy when they shampoo less. And there's no better anecdotal wisdom than that of someone dealing in hair every day. It’s in good form to shower daily-to scrub down all your sweaty, stinky parts and to deep clean the pores on your face

I promise you that no one understands when you don’t use shampoo. I never told this to anyone until a couple months ago my boyfriend found out. He got shocked! I also promise you that you don’t need to be shocked for not using shampoo because it is not gross or unhealthy or anything else. When I ask people how my hair smells they mostly say it doesn’t smell or it smells slightly nice because I am using pure coconut oil after my shower. Giving up shampoo for 30 days can help regulate oil production, improving the condition of hair and scalp. Kristina’s shampoo expertise helped shape our strategy. If we use anything that’s too astringent or too cleansing and we use it too often, it can actually have a reverse effect, she said. In layman’s terms: the more often you wash your hair, the more oil your scalp tends to produce. The Subjects and the Experiment.

It keeps your hair healthy not to wash it so much. Kérastase Chronologiste Scalp Exfoliator is the best. It's just like your skin-if you are putting on makeup all time, you always exfoliate your skin. Exfoliate first, then shampoo

Shampoo is great for cleaning your hair, but it can have its side-effects, such as build-up and damage. Whether you are out of shampoo, or looking for a more natural lifestyle, consider washing your hair with just water. Keep in mind that it may take 2 to 16 weeks for your hair to adjust.

If you simply stop washing your hair, at some point it will get clean again by itself – at least, that’s what’s believed by a movement of shampoo-shunners. Time to put it to the test. We reach for the shampoo bottle all the same. Why? Not for hygiene’s sake, but because it will be a matter of days for vividly bouncing locks of hair to change into greasy wisps. Until over a century ago, we lived pretty much without shampoo. Hair could only be washed using soap bars.
