Christmas with Buck Owens and his Buckaroos is a Christmas album by Buck Owens and his Buckaroos, released in 1965. It was re-issued on CD by Sundazed Records in 1999, and again via digital download in 2011.
With Buck Owens riding a tide of hit singles and top-selling albums, the time was right in 1965 to record his first Christmas album. Not content to re-do the same old holiday standbys, Buck and the band worked up a new batch of Christmas classics. Even the lone traditional song, Jingle Bells, received a brand spanking new arrangement courtesy of Buckaroo Don Rich. Santa Looked A Lot Like Daddy, penned by Buck and Don, quickly became a perennial song of the season, thanks to it humorous lyrics and infectious melody. released October 4, 1965.
