Supertramp in 1971 From L-R: Roger Hodgson, Frank Farrell, Rick Davies, Kevin Currie, Dave Winthrop. With a hit album under their belt, pressures on the band increased, and the followup Crisis? What Crisis? had to be recorded in the few months between two scheduled concert tours. Supertramp continued to play several Hodgson-penned songs during live shows following their reunion. Hodgson subsequently claimed that when he had left the band back in 1983, he and Davies made a verbal agreement that they would not play those songs.

Live '88 is the second live album by the English rock band Supertramp released in October 1988 on A&M Records. Originally recorded on two track cassette direct from the sound board for Rick Davies' use, Live '88 features the 4 piece lineup of the group augmented by additional players including Mark Hart (later a permanent member of the group and a future member of Crowded House) playing guitar and singing songs originally sung by Roger Hodgson.

Supertramp-"Live 88"-"Great Price for an out of Print Cd". Even though at this point-Roger Hodgson was long gone at this poing (6 yrs-and 3 Band albums?-later). The Band is still pretty tight-and they only pressed a few copies of this?--Maybe 10,000. Kinda for themselves. As was mention in the t so Far").
