Wishing, of course, that this was available on vinyl. I liked this - I think a few songs plodded or didn't really fit the format, but a great many of them worked beautifully in the new arrangements.

Singer/songwriter Joni Mitchell is experiencing its greatest popularity in the early 1970s when they produced personal as Lady Of The Canyon (1970) and Blue (1971) a large audience. Joni Mitchell is an idiosyncratic and quirky artistic talent and has never been to Commerce. With later albums like Hejira (1976) and Mingus (1979) she alienates itself from much of her early fans, by itself to be swayed by genres like jazz, rock and fusion. It delivers Special pop music on but hits like Woodstock and Big Yellow Taxi will then no longer score. With Travelogue surprised her fans at the end of 2002 again for a year before she had let yet know themselves for good from the music. On the double-cd are some of its most famous old songs arranged for a Symphony Orchestra. The whole is extremely tastefully executed, however without the expressiveness of the originals is matched. In the beautiful cd booklet shows that Mitchell employs her creativity nowadays especially for her other passion: painting.

Dude... The likes of Judy Collins, Joan Baez, and Joni Mitchell i stick in the corner, and someday, later than sooner, I get a roundtoit. The first version of "Woodstock" was done as Joni dictated to CSN&Y in '69 when she couldn't be there, and she subsequently did several retakes of the tune, much closer to the original than not. BUT THIS!!! THIS IS IT for the tune "Woodstock". Disk 1, track 5. It strikes me to the very roots of my early rock influence and owes much to the lifestyle I live. I got it in '69 and this makes it only better. -ccjr
