Master Release: Yes - The Yes Album. Manufactured & marketed by Rhino Vinyl, 3400 W. Olive Av. Burnbank CA 91505. Warner Music Group, an AOL Time Warner Company. I recently got this disc, but it's a better version, I think. It has the hype sticker, but the labels and the matrix etchings are different. I gave it a spin last night, and it sounded good to my ears. Perhaps they repressed it due to the quality issues with the first round but didn't take the earlier pressings off the market. Reply Notify me Helpful.

Only for completionists (1%). This is the first truly essential Yes album, wherein all the masterful elements that would later typify the Yes sound were magnificently present. Every tune (except possibly "A Venture") is excellent, and many later concert favourites are here.

Album · 1970 · 6 Songs. Highlights: The Very Best of Yes. 1993.

The Yes Album is the third studio album by YES, released on 19 February 1971 on Atlantic Records. It is their first album with guitarist Steve Howe, and their last until 1983’s 90125 to feature keyboardist Tony Kaye. The album was the first by the group comprised solely of original material. The band spent mid-1970 writing and rehearsing new material at a farmhouse in South Molton, Devon, and the new songs were recorded at Advision Studios in the autumn. While the album retained close harmony singing, Kaye’s Hammond organ and Chris Squire’s melodic bass, as heard on earlier releases, the new.
