He freed the slaves that were handed down as his inheritance from his father. Those freed slaves were allowed to stay and were paid a wage.

After releasing a three-song EP in November, country singer Josh Kelley is set to release his debut album, ‘Georgia Clay,’ on March 22. He wrote or co-wrote every song on the album, and the title track - which has become a Top 25 country hit - was written with his brother, Charles Kelley from Lady Antebellum, who also wrote another tune on the record with him.
