Red Sea is a studio album by Augustus Pablo released in 1998, containing material recorded between 1970 and 1973 and was produced by Herman Chin Loy. The music on the album is among the earliest instances of Pablo's revolutionary use of the melodica as a viable musical instrument. East of the River Nile" (Swaby). Soul Vibration" (Swaby).

Aquarius Rock bundles up half a dozen classic Pablo/Swaby's solo singles, a couple with the producer standing in as DJ. Some are twinned with the band instrumentals, further highlighting the groups' exceptional work, as well as Pablo's own astonishing creativity. These instrumentals and Pablo's own solo singles make up the bulk of this set, fleshed out with a quartet of vocal cuts. A pair come from Alton Ellis, who offers up a clean and rude take on his "Alton's Official Daughter," while Dennis Brown delivers the emotive "Song My Mother Used to Sing. Archie McKay's lovelorn "Pick Up the Pieces" is no relation to the Royals' classic, while Beres Hammond offers up one of his earliest recordings, an incredibly heartfelt "No More Wa.

The debut album This Is Augustus Pablo was framed around ‘Java’ too, with nary a weak track in earshot. Loading Vide. ugustus Pablo ‘Cassava Piece’ (Hot Stuff 7, 1972). Pablo made his first forays into record production in 1972, channelling product onto the Hot Stuff label, which later morphed into Rockers. Miller himself had ghetto grounding, and Augustus Pablo drew out his most authentic roots side on the work they did together during the mid-1970s. Who Say Jah No Dread’ is a stunning statement of Rastafari defiance, Miller decrying the growing commercialisation of the movement atop one of Pablo’s most striking rhythms, its stop-start nature nicely contrasted by pounding drum rolls, leering trombone lines, and throbbing bass (check the dub flipside to get the fullness of its uncommon rhythmic underpinning).

He also met Herman Chin Loy, who after working at his cousin Leslie Kong's Beverley's record shop, had set up his own Aquarius store in Half Way Tree. Swaby recorded early tracks including "Higgi Higgi", "East of the River Nile", "Song of the East" and "The Red Sea" between 1971 and 1973 for Chin-Loy's Aquarius Records. Chin Loy had previously used the name Augustus Pablo generically for keyboard instrumentals recorded by Lloyd Charmers and Glen Adams, and Swaby took the name for this recording. Red Sea is an album by Augustus Pablo released in 1998, containing material recorded between 1970 and 1973 and was produced by Herman Chin Loy.
