The Firehouse Five Plus Two was a Dixieland jazz band, popular in the 1950s, consisting of members of the Walt Disney Studios animation department; Danny Alguire - cornet Harper Goff - banjo Ward Kimball - trombone, siren, tambourine, sound effects, leader Clarke Mallery - clarinet Monte Mountjoy - drums Ed Penner - bass saxophone on early recordings, but later switched to tuba Frank Thomas - piano.

This double CD reissues the first three LPs by the Firehouse Five Plus Two, a very popular Dixieland group in the 1950s. In addition to trombonist Ward Kimball (who occasionally lets loose on a siren), the main soloists are generally trumpeter Danny Alguire and either Clarke Mallery, Tom Sharpsteen, or George Probert on clarinet.
