I was thinking of new ways to include the words bucolic, affectionate and Barrett-esque into a sentence to underline just how much I enjoy this album, when I realised that the cover perfectly captures its essence– a gorgeous palette of sound that playfully ravishes the senses with synaesthetic washes of shimmering colour and dazzling light. The lyrics walk the dark side of Sunny Psychedelia Street and know that all is not well with the world. Burning effigies and suicidal Ice Road Truckers all feature.
This is the instrumental version of the parent album "Effigies".
