N Sync is the self-titled debut studio album by American boy band NSYNC, released on May 26, 1997. In 1995, Chris Kirkpatrick met with Lou Pearlman to talk about forming a pop group. Pearlman said that he would finance the group if Kirkpatrick would find other young male singers to be with him in the band. This prompted Kirkpatrick to call Joey Fatone, a friend he had met while working at Universal Studios.
Improbably, 'N Sync's "Gone" is back in the news: in a new interview with Oprah Winfrey's OWN, Justin Timberlake reveals that "Love Never Felt So Good," his new single featured on Michael Jackson's upcoming posthumous album "Xscape," was born when he wrote "Gone" for Jackson over a decade ago, back when Timberlake was still a member of the impossibly successful. We were having an A&R meeting for the third 'N Sync album at that time, and I said, 'Well, I have this other song, but I originally wrote it for Michael,'" says Timberlake in the confessional. Then Jackson did want "Gone," recorded as a duet between himself and Timberlake, presumably after he heard the finished song. Unfortunately, he reached out to Timberlake after the song had already been released as an 'N Sync track, and the two couldn't figure out how to bill a revamped version.
N Sync is a published author of children's books. Published Works by N Sync.
N Sync formed somewhat more organically than their Backstreet brethren. A bubbly literature that tells their legend already exists in periodicals like Bop, Teen Machine and Tiger Beat. Still, this begs the question of exactly how in sync with ‘N Sync the girls want to get. Are they screaming because they dig the tunes and the dancing, or are they thinking about making out with their fab five? No, I just think they’re in it for the ride, says JC after pondering the issue.
