It is absolutely true that this song is one of the best illustrations of the different perspectives that John & Paul brought to their collaboration, but I've also heard that it illustrates some of the more subtle influences that George had on their songs. The Beatles recorded "We Can Work It Out" at EMI Studios (later Abbey Road Studios) in London on 20 October 1965, during the sessions for their Rubber Soul album.
