A1. A Love Supreme Composed By – John. Luis Gasca Featuring Joe Henderson - Born To Love You (LP). Label Category Country Year.

Joe Henderson (April 24, 1937 – June 30, 2001) was an American jazz tenor saxophonist. In a career spanning more than forty years Henderson played with many of the leading American players of his day and recorded for several prominent labels, including Blue Note. It was only after the release of An Evening with Joe Henderson, a live trio set (featuring Charlie Haden and Al Foster) for the Italian independent label Red Records that Henderson underwent a major career change: Verve took notice of him and in the early 1990s signed him. That label adopted a 'songbook' approach to recording him, coupling it with a considerable marketing and publicity campaign, which more successfully positioned Henderson at the forefront of the contemporary jazz scene. 1974: Luis Gasca - Born to Love You (Fantasy). 1974: Patrice Rushen - Prelusion (Prestige).

Born to Love You. Featuring Joe Henderson, Herbie Lewis, and Billy Higgins, was the first of many recorded sessions Hutcherson made with McCoy Tyner throughout their careers. was also the album out of ten Hutcherson recorded as leader for Blue Note between 1965 and 1969 which did not feature drummer Joe Chambers or any of Chambers compositions. In 'n Out is the third album by jazz saxophonist Joe Henderson released on the Blue Note label. It was recorded o. mage: In 'N Out.

This album has trumpeter Luis Gasca featured as a co-star with tenor-saxophonist Joe Henderson. Gasca arranged "Tres Palabras" which is played by a 13-piece group (Oscar Brashear takes the trumpet solo) while the other three originals (two by pianist Mark Levine) use either a sextet or a nonet. Henderson is in fine form on these spirited Latinish performances which have also been included on his eight-CD Milestone box set. - -Scott Yanow, Rovi.
