Isolation (LP, Album). Riverside Recordings. This album is to my ears one of the best folk releases of the 60s-70s and that's competing with quite a huge library of other artists (unfortunately not on vinyl as I have only recently started collecting). By no means a happy album, Isolation sounds constantly desolate with light sprinklings of hope which is most likely owed to the value alongside the general structures and themes of the songs themselves
About Mista Thug Isolation. The dark beats, eerily creepy beats seem to be the most stand out in the grand scheme while the more relaxed instrumentals moderate the momentum of the album in a tasteful manner.
Each song on ‘Isolation’ sounds wildly different from the last, but Uchis proves to be the constant, pulling and manipulating the strings in all the right places. Considering even her most derivative moments bring her own unique flair, this is an album that straddles ambitious writing and classic ideas with precision.
Isolation can be devastating. See Stephen King's The Shining for an extreme example. What coping mechanisms does Katsa use to keep the isolation she feels as a Graceling from taking over her life and making her completely miserable? What other characters, aside from Katsa, experience isolation and how? Whose isolation do you think is the worst?
