Lucybell put together their own studio to record their eponymous third album, which they then took to Buenos Aires to mix and to Londons Abbey Road Studios to master with engineer Chris Blair (The Beatles, Radiohead). The success of the bands fourth studio album, Amanece, clinched their position as one of the most important Latin rock bands in Chile and Latin America, and their live album and DVD, Sesión Futura, along with the Sálvame la vida EP, earned them the Best Group APES award in 2003. Lucybell is now the best-selling rock band in Chile. In keeping with their desire to reach a larger audience, Lucybell moved to Los Angeles, California in April, 2003. They spent the following months composing new material in their Burbank rehearsal studio, and during that time met British sound engineer Adam Moseley (Roxette, The Cure, Kiss).
