Halloween is a soundtrack album composed and performed by John Carpenter, featuring the score to the 1978 film Halloween. It was released in Japan in 1979 through Columbia Records and in the USA in 1983 through Varèse Sarabande.

A great haunted house album needs to be more immediate, moving along with the visitors, implying that something is with them. We included a couple obvious choices, but preferred to go for music unfamiliar to general audiences. raison d’être ~ Collected Works (Infinite Fog, 2013) It’s impossible to choose a single album from Peter Andersson’s 15-year discography, so we’ve chosen to highlight this collection of odds and ends from various compilations, encompassing the span of his career. I went into A Haunted Halloween, the 11th book in a series, completely blind and had no problems. I didn’t even realize until after I’d finished reading it and was looking closely at the cover that it was part of a series. And, as stated on the blurb, this is a book that is perfect for beginning (chapter) readers. The author also did a great job of creating a futuristic ‘alien’ world that was still perfectly recognizable to little readers. Phones are hyperphones that can call between galaxies, but still just phones. Arcade games are arcade games. There is tech, but it’s kept to an easy to understand level. The only thing I would have changed was that the message given was kind of that you should believe your friends if they tell you something. Because they might be telling the truth.

The soundtrack for Rob Zombie's remake of the iconic horror classic Halloween salvages only original director/composer John Carpenter's instantly recognizable piano motif before dropping a stack of quarters into a ghoulish late-'70s jukebox that's as genuinely fun as it is macabre.
