Record companies. After the release of their third LP in March 1969, the Velvets (with Doug Yule now on bass) embarked on a nationwide tour, playing over 70 dates all around the US. One of these included a stint at the End Of Cole Avenue club in Dallas-one of the Velvets few live performances where a professional sound engineer was actually on hand to record the sets.

The Velvet Underground is the self-titled third studio album by American rock band the Velvet Underground. Recorded in 1968 at TTG Studios in Hollywood, California, the album's sound-consisting largely of ballads and straightforward rock songs-marked a notable shift in style from the band's previous recordings.
