Play On is the sixth solo album by John Miles released in 1983 via EMI label. EMI promised that Miles would use a top producer and top session musicians for his second album for EMI. Eventually they chose Gus Dudgeon who had worked with artists like Elton John, Chris Rea and Elkie Brooks.
The John Miles Song, Song For You was released on John Miles 1983 album Play On. The song appeared as the second song on the album. One of the moist notable attributes of the Play On album was that it was produced by Gus Dudgeon. The famed producer Gus Dudgeon was well know for his incredible work he had done as a producer on some of Elton John’s most memorable albums. 8 – Pull the Damn Thing Down. John Miles Manhattan Skyline, was the opening track on the Stranger in the City album. The sound of the disco era are quite apparent within the song. The album actually featured a minor disco hit called Slow Down, which has not been included in the top 10 John Miles Songs list. The album Stranger in the City was heavily promoted by Decca records. The album Stranger in the City was released in February 1977. 6 – Oh How The Years Go By.
Don't turn around, It could never be the same again, You've let me down, I don't understand I can't pretend. Oh, feels like I've been goin' down this road sometime before, Someday, I will leave it far behind and that's for sure. This is my song for you Thoughts of winter, Dreams of sunshine, Nothing that I can do Changes how I feel in my mind. This is my song for you, Times I hope you will remember, Things that were meant for two, Here in my heart, Here in my song. This is my song for you Thoughts of winter, Dreams of sunshine, Nothing that I can do.

Ripped from my trusty Vinyl, this post consists of MP3 (320kps) and includes full album artwork for both LP and CD. This album has been long deleted and finding digital copies on the net is near impossible, and thus the reason for this post. I purchased John's hit single back in 1976 but stupidly sold it at a record fair, and now regret not having the non-album B-Side "Putting my new song together"
