I’m sorry about the clock, he said. My own face had now assumed a deep tropical burn. I couldn’t muster up a single commonplace out of the thousand in my head. Oh, I’ve been in several things, he corrected himself. I was in the drug business and then I was in the oil business. But I’m not in either one now. He looked at me with more attention. Do you mean you’ve been thinking over what I proposed the other night?

The album was recalled a week before it’s release and replaced with the album Lovesexy which was released on May 10, 1988. The reasons behind the recall vary from, Prince being convinced the album was evil, or that Prince decided to scrap the album after experimenting with the drug Ectasy and having a bad trip. Whatever the reason it is pretty clear that Prince did not like The Black Album because he added this split second hidden message in the video for Alphabet St. the first single off of Lovesexy.

Congratulations I'm Sorry (typeset as Congratulations. I'm Sorry) is the third studio album by the American power pop band Gin Blossoms, and the follow-up album to the successful 1992 release New Miserable Experience, released in 1996 by A&M records. The album was named in reference to the success of 1992's New Miserable Experience, followed closely by the suicide of the former band member Doug Hopkins in 1993.

I have wanted to make this album for a long time. I first thought of the idea about 10 years ago, originally as a 100-CD album (Somebody said I’d only have to sell 5,000 copies to have a Gold record! Take that, Peter Frampton!). Basically, what began as a half-joke, half-dream that I’d sometimes mention to friends, morphed into a much-more feasible idea of a 10-disc album (I think of things in terms of CDs because I grew up in the 90s, just like 80-year-olds still refer to radio as The Invisible President ). I decided to start working on it. In general, I make a lot of lists. Oh, also, the first disc contains a full set of live standup recorded at Columbia City Theater in Seattle, WA June 6, 7, & 8, 2014. Sincerely, Eugene Mirman.
