28 January at 16:03 ·. A crazy little drive up the middle of the USA with some weirdos who usually play the same songs at the same time. Participants include Jason, Kay, Tim Schrieber, Suzanne Allison, Paul Walker, Charlie Johnston, Ben Davis, and Joseph Davis. Some of them aren't on BaceFook, so I can't tag them.
31. Pete Erchick Bicentennial Service Area.
Forget that Jason played with of Montreal. Cast aside the reports of live shows replete with fake eyelashes, though it does look fantastic.
t and singer Jason NeSmith (pronounced "KNEE-smith," no relation to Michael Nesmith of the Monkees), began using the pseudonym Casper Fandango in 1996 as a moniker for his solo four-track recordings. NeSmith was given the name by fellow Atlanta musician David Dault while playing together in the band Feyerabend.
Casper is a 1995 American fantasy comedy-drama film directed by Brad Silberling, based on the Harvey Comics cartoon character Casper the Friendly Ghost created by Seymour Reit and Joe Oriolo.
AthFest 2012: Best 2 songs. Vespolina - I Don't Love You 03:47. Patterson Hood & The Downtown 13 - After It's Gone 04:49.
In between these two standouts is a mix of fun, upbeat pop songs by both NeSmith and Stanton that range from comically obscure ("Drug Facts" and "Jennifer's House") to complexly melodic ("Thing for Ugly") and often resemble an odd mash-up of Minutemen rhythms and B-52s panache. Dingbats certainly jumps around a lot, but it's a truly original mix full of some pleasant surprises.

Notes"Power Stupid", formerly named after a well known low calorie powdered drink represented by a powerful law firm, is about the movie the Dark Crystal.
"Krötenwanderung v1.1" is the live arrangement of the first song on The Optimist's Club.
"Sweet Pea" is a cover of an old bubblegum hit by Tommy Roe. Fun, innit?
"The Optimist's Credo v2.0" is based on the live arrangement of the original track (again on The Optimist's Club).
"Cherry Bomb" was originally performed by the Runaways, "Cloudy" by Simon & Garfunkle (this cover song was recorded in 2001; this is its first release), "I'm A Boy" by the Who and "Penelope" by of Montreal. Thanks to the Booty Patrol for spurring the creation of the latter.
"Explanation of untitled song segments:
A: I took a handheld recorder on tour and hardly turned it off. Some of the sounds you hear are:
- the band raising a toast with Will and Jennifer,
- Katie discussing eating on the road with Dr. Dog,
- Courtney arriving at the Northstar,
- the Cookies and the Apples in Stereo backstage,
- Jim and Joe having a fistfight for fun as Kay takes pictures,
- Jason walking down an icy street to a shop in Washington DC to buy a strange Valentine's Day gift for Kay,
- Kay unwrapping the gift and reading the engrish instructions on the box,
- My cell phone jamming the recorder during a phone conversation with Bill Doss of Apples in Stereo after their Conan O'Brien taping,
- studio recordings
These clips were then looped and cut up using a scientific formula based on our stupid band name."
