Paul Weller is Paul Weller's first solo album, released in 1992. After disbanding The Style Council and leaving label Polydor in 1989, Weller formed The Paul Weller Movement in 1990, releasing a single, "Into Tomorrow", on his own Freedom High record label, in October 1991. Its success - reaching in the UK chart - led to Weller being offered a new record deal with Go! Discs, and the resulting album was released on 1 September 1992, reaching on the UK album chart.
Next summer sees Paul Weller join the lineup for two stellar shows at either end of the UK. Edinburgh Castle and Into The Wyldes in Cornwall will play host to what will most certainly be fantastic and unmissable performances. The revered songwriter, recently voted 'Best Act In The World by Q Magazine, will bring a long career of seminal albums and tracks from his latest album 'True Meanings. Street Rituals', the new album from Stone Foundation produced by and featuring Paul Weller, is set for release on 31st March. what a pleasure and a privilege it was to work with these fellas. It’s their best songwriting to date, and I just hope people get to hear it because there are some great tunes and I like the message on the record.

A new Paul Weller album has been officially announced. Called True Meanings the modfather’s 14th solo album will be released this September, and it looks like the seasoned musician will be venturing into new musical territory. The official blurb is calling the record unlike any he has made before, with te, lush orchestration and a dreamy, peaceful, pastoral set of songs to get lost in. It follows on from last year’s A Kind Revolution, which saw the former Jam and Style Council member experimenting with new styles. Paul Weller at the Rainbow Theatre, London in 1979
