Behaviour" is more close to the animal body of sound from a band like "the Swans" in their mid period, identifying itself through thick bass lines and experimental brutality all bass centered, bursting power and mental testosterone through drums but adorned with psychedelic guitar undertones that grants this fragility behind the dramatic melody, vocals remind of the hopeless but romantic twist from Edward.

Naevus is a British experimental rock group. Formed in London in 1998 by Lloyd James (vocals, acoustic guitar) and Joanne Owen (bass, accordion), Naevus were often categorised as part of the 'neofolk' genre. The band released four albums between 1999 and 2004 before expanding to a four-piece with the addition of John Murphy (drums) and Greg Ferrari (electric guitar).

Neofolk with a different edge, perhaps too hectic and complex for some, it does abandon the usual routines of military aesthetics and the constitution of lyrical bunker and wanders in between dark folk, psychedelic effects and post punk with a distinctive appeal. There is no traces of apocalypse or any reference towards historic episodes nor nostalgia about a golden ages lost, so thats more like a departure instead of a musical reclusion."Behaviour" is more close to the animal body of sound from a band like "the Swans" in their mid period, identifying itself through thick bass lines and experimental brutality all bass centered, bursting power and mental testosterone through drums but adorned with psychedelic guitar undertones that grants this fragility behind the dramatic melody, vocals remind of the hopeless but romantic twist from Edward K-spel and more than one reminiscence with Sol Invictus but minus the often trascendental and apocalyptic tour. The appearence from John Murphy in drums and Karl Blake as guitarist is certainly a surplus that guarantees a work made of hard wood and fire. In fact "Behaviour" is a compendium of things unsaid about life, unsavory monologues that reflect delusions, fevers and content hatred over prosaic events from life, this is another aspect that aproximate the work towards the incendiary human touch from Swans, too sincere, perhaps too much.Nevertheless a very good album, the best parts are perhaps the fiery bass experiments mixed with its lyrical combination and poetic brutality. Menschliches, Allzumenschliches...
