The Billy Barnes Revue is a 1959 musical comedy revue with music and lyrics by Billy Barnes and sketches by Bob Rodgers. The revue premiered in Los Angeles in 1959 and went on to be produced both on Broadway and Off Broadway. The show is remembered for its acclaimed cast of newcomers, including Bert Convy and Ken Berry. Barnes continued to produce successful revues in Los Angeles.

Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid is the 12th studio album and first soundtrack album by American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan, released on July 13, 1973 by Columbia Records for the Sam Peckinpah film, Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid. Dylan himself appeared in the film as the character "Alias".

BILLY BARNES’ most well known compositions are Too Long at the Fair and Something Cool. But his specialty was special material. In the late ’50’s, ’60’s, ’70’s and early ’80’s Billy Barnes was part of a small and elite group of songwriters who wrote for musical variety television and, thus, wrote for every celebrity. Dinah Shore, Rosemary Clooney, Peggy Lee, Diana Ross and Judy Garland just to name a few. Billy also wrote musical revues, Broadway shows and Las Vegas and club acts.

Billy Barnes (January 27, 1927 – September 25, 2012) was a composer and lyricist from Los Angeles, California. His hit songs includes "(Have I Stayed) Too Long at the Fair" recorded by Patti Page and Barbra Streisand (in "The Second Barbra Streisand Album" ), and "Something Cool", recorded by jazz vocalist June Christy. Barnes is best known for his theatrical revues, including The Billy Barnes Revue, Billy Barnes' People, Billy Barnes' Party, Billy Barnes' . and Billy Barnes' Hollywood.

But Billy Barnes was a unique observer and biographer of Los Angeles, seeing his city better and able to poke fun at our foibles than any other creative personality. Billy Barnes died yesterday and while his passing may go unnoticed across the country, here is Los Angeles he will be mourned and celebrated for a life chocked full of beautiful songs that he wrote and the intimate revues he presented to always sold out audiences at the Las Palmas Theater in Hollywood. This old recording is this listener's most treasured. Here is a recording of Barnes' very famous and nostalgic (in the absence of the famous song& I Stayed Too Long At The Fair?') & Does Anybody Here Love Me?' along with the hilarious & (& is happening in Covina, in La Mirada, in Downey and Gardena, Hollywood seem just like Pasadena, etc'), & Glad I Call It Home" and others.
