NOTE: Bob Haring led one of the most prolific dance orchestras during the Roaring Twenties in USA. As the musical director of Cameo Records: the small dime store company, he performed under dozens of pseudonyms, until in 1925 he signed with Brunswick Records, where he started leading led the Colonial Club Orchestra. He also released sides under his own name Bob Haring and His Orchestra. Many of us, readers of unforgettable novels of Agatha Christie, will forever associate those old views of the Shepherd’s or Mena hotels in Cairo with the small figure of the cunning Belgian detective Hercules Poirot and his passed forever domain of the luxury, sophisticated flappers, bored cocainists, ruined actresses and their merciless young lovers.
