The legendary Bob Mould – alt-rocker, electronic and acoustic artist and part-time DJ – had announced a series of intimate venues on a 25th anniversary tour of his debut solo album 'Workabout,' and the show was about to star. he stripped back stage, low lighting, and seated crowd set the scene for a quiet night of imagined nostalgia but, as ever the unexpected, Bob Mould dismissed those expectations, opening with a typical energy, and not an acoustic guitar in sight. Joined by another guitarist/bassist and cellist, Mould performed a string of hits from his extensive back catalogue.
Bob Mould (born October 16, 1960, in Malone, New York) is an American musician, principally known for his work as guitarist, vocalist and songwriter for influential rock bands Hüsker Dü in the 1980s and Sugar in the 1990s. Born in Malone, New York, Mould lived in several places, including Pine City, Minnesota and the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, where he attended Macalester College.
Bob Mould has announced that his new album Sunshine Rock will arrive in February 2019. The album marks the former Hüsker Dü rocker’s first since 2015’s Patch the Sky as well as his first since moving to Berlin two years ago. Almost four years ago, I made plans for an extended break, Mould said in a statement. I started spending time in Berlin in 2015, found an apartment in 2016, and became a resident in 2017. My time in Berlin has been a life changing experience. I’ve heard this thing about ‘guitars are dead’ at least five times, and they always seem to come back, Mould added of his new album, whose sound harkens back to his Sugar days. For better or worse, this is what I do. I think there’s a lot of people trying to aspire to make great albums. That’s really what this is about: trying to make great rock albums for people because there’s not that many anymore. Bob Mould Tour Dates.
Bob Mould - vocals, guitar, bass, keyboards, loops, producer, artwork. Jim Wilson - engineer. Mould played all of the instruments himself, and programmed the drums instead of using a real drummer, the album peaked at number 101 on the Billboard 200 chart, and number 1 on the Heatseekers chart. In 1998, Mould released The Last Dog and Pony Show, the album was named as such because Mould decided that the tour that followed would be his last electric band tour. After the tour, Mould took a break from the world to get involved with another passion of his, professional wrestling. Creative differences with some of the writers led to Moulds leaving the company. 10. The Last Dog and Pony Show.
