I’m very familier with the album I know it’s not on there. So all this info could be hogwash. As I said before - If you know anything about this tune let me know. Fiddler Pete Kelly, County Galway, has laid claim to composing the tune, which he called "The Shannonaires Jig," named for the Shannonaires Ceili Band, a children’s group organized in NYC in the 1960’s for a tour. Kelly lately plays with the Premier Ceili Band, with button accordion player Martin Mulhaire.
Starring: Maude, Harold, Mrs. Chasen and others. With the idiosyncratic American fable Harold and Maude, countercultural director Hal Ashby fashioned what would become the cult classic of its era. Working from a script by Colin Higgins, Ashby tells the story of the emotional and romantic bond between a death-obsessed young man (Bud Cort) from a wealthy family and a devil-may-care, bohemian octogenarian (Ruth Gordon)
