The Isleys Live is one of the finest funk/soul live albums ever recorded. The first eight tracks come from club gigs in 1971 and 1972, while the last three are from a 1969 show at Yankee Stadium. The group's biggest and most identifiable hit, "It's Your Thing," is featured twice, each version extremely inspired. The album is also a showcase for the talents of the woefully underrated guitarist Ernie Isley, who simply wails on a cover of Jimi Hendrix's "Machine Gun," and plays fantastically throughout. The Isleys Live received the makeover treatment in 1996 by Rhino Records, who remastered the whole disc and lengthened it with several extra selections not included on the original.

Live It Up is the twelfth album released by The Isley Brothers on September 7, 1974, their second major distributed album with Epic Records under their T-Neck subsidiary. The album was remastered and expanded for inclusion in the 2015 released CD box set "The RCA Victor & T-Neck Album Masters, 1959-1983". Like their previous recording, their breakthrough 1973 album, 3 + 3, the album was assisted by the team of Malcolm Cecil and Robert Margouleff. Live It Up!, Holly Woods' latest album, was recorded in 1986 after Toronto's label, Solid Gold Records, went into receivership forcing the band to split up. Two of the members, Holly Woods and Scott Kreyer, regrouped and continued on to a studio in Atlanta to record new tracks with producer Sonny Limbo.

The Isley Brothers recorded songs for the album to react to disappointing sales of their albums, Inside You and The Real Deal, albums that failed to sell, the group returned to Bearsville Studios in November 1982 to work on the album. Brother, Brother is the tenth album released by The Isley Brothers on their T-Neck imprint on July 1,1972. It was to be the Isleys last studio record with Buddah Records moving on to Epic in the middle of 1973. and their second venture into rock music, they didnt betray their soul and funk roots. The album featured the top 40 hit, Pop That Thang, the brothers covered two more King songs including the title track and Sweet Seasons.
