Binaural albums make you feel like you're hearing the artist live in concert. In 1978, Reed released Street Hassle - the first commercial pop album recorded in binaural audio. When played back through headphones, binaural audio makes you feel like you’re in the same place where the recording was made

For other uses, see Album (disambiguation). Early record albums were multiple 78rpm discs packaged in book form, like a photograph album. An album is a collection of audio recordings issued as a collection on compact disc (CD), vinyl, audio tape, or another medium. Stereo 8 was created in 1964 by a consortium led by Bill Lear of Lear Jet Corporation, along with Ampex, Ford Motor Company, General Motors, Motorola, and RCA Victor Records (RCA). It was a further development of the similar Stereo-Pak four-track cartridge created by Earl "Madman" Muntz.

Stereo Test and Demonstration Record Liner Notes.

Binaural recording is a technique of recording sound with two microphones approximately as far apart as your ears (facing outward obviously). You will need for this Instructable: 1 set of broken or no longer used stereo earbuds with an ordinary audio jack 2 small basic Radioshack mic's (mine were salvaged from some walkie talkies. Some solder (a soldering iron and some basic skill might also come in handy) Some hot glue (and maybe a glue gun (both optional) And some wire strippers (or just use your nails as I sometimes do) And that's it.

Binaural is the sixth studio album by the American alternative rock band Pearl Jam, released on May 16, 2000 through Epic Records. Following a full-scale tour in support of its previous album, Yield (1998), Pearl Jam took a short break before reconvening toward the end of 1999 to begin work on a new album
