FUTURE' is a reminder that Future is trap music’s phoenix-the second you consider him dead, he only burns brighter. There’s something rather abnormal about embarking upon a new Future album and not hearing his voice conquering radio waves.

Further honeying "Future Me Hates Me"’s dark lyrics that explore complex topics like being newly alone and the self-defeating anticipation of impending regret, ecstatic vocal harmonies bubble up like in the greatest pop and R+B of the ‘60s, while inverting the trope of the sad dude singer accompanied by a homogenous girl-sound.

I'm a pretty big fan of this album (the first half or so anyway), and it's great to have a physical copy, but the sound just isn't quite on point here. My copy has a ton of surface noise after a thorough cleaning, which is not helped by the mastering being pretty low in overall volume. Guessing they compressed things more than would be ideal to fit all TWENTY tracks on 2 discs. My biggest complaint about Future is his complete lack of quality control, and it's on full display here.
