Lucy (12) ‎– Self Mythology. Label: Stroboscopic Artefacts ‎– SACD007. Some tracks work well at 33 and others at 45. Hand drums are hard to mix tho. Very beautiful and dark album. Reply Notify me Helpful.

Lucy's next album, Self Mythology, will see release via his own Stroboscopic Artefacts label on May 6th. It's Luca Mortellaro's third full-length, following 2011's Wordplay For Working Bees and 2014's Churches Schools And Guns. The album features collaborations with Jon Jacobs, who contributes improvised vocals, flute and percussion.

Self Mythology is the third entry in Lucy's trio of adventurous full-lengths.

Artist: Lucy Album: Self-Mythology Label: Stroboscopic Artefacts Release date: 06/05/2016. Italian-born, Berlin-based Luca Mortellaro (. Lucy) is a techno powerhouse. Known for building brutish, blistering explorative sets within the walls of the world's major clubbing institutions, the Stroboscopic Artefacts label founder is noted for redefining the word ‘techno' with his abstract production material. For Lucy, producing is vital to a healthy state of mind and on occasion he's tested his limits by stalling studio time until it presents itself as a matter of urgency. Lucy cuts an authoritative figure in the techno realm and proves once again that he is an exceptional sound designer, gifted at pushing the boundaries beyond the obvious techno and electronica elements. He's a rare talent whose precision with production tools allows for a deeply personal listening experience.

Listen free to Lucy – Self Mythology (Baba Yaga's Hut, Dissonance Emancipation and more). The third entry in Lucy's trio of adventurous full-lengths is visually introduced by artwork of a pearl-bearing shell, designed by Stroboscopic Artefacts' resident visual artist (and Lucy's brother) Ignazio Mortellaro
