Luciano Cilio (1950 – 21 May 1983) was an Italian composer and musician. Born in Naples, Cilio recorded and released an album of minimalist music, Dialoghi Del Presente, in 1977. An expanded version of the album, entitled Dell'Universo Assente was released in 2004. One of his pieces, "Della Conoscenza", is featured on No. 18 of The Wire magazine's long-running series of CD compilations The Wire Tapper.

In his lifetime he only released one album, ‘Dialoghi del presente’, in 1977. It was not particularly successful at the time of release, but after a 2004 re-release on CD and talk of it spreading through online music communities, it soon became regarded highly amongst fans of modern classical and avant-garde music. Luciano Cilio, morto suicida nel 1983, fu un pezzo importante della Napoli underground degli anni 70, straordinariamente fertile e ansiosa.

Luciano Cilio produced a very intense, and very personal, statement in 1977; luckily one that was committed to tape just in time it seems, as the artist would end his life some five years later.
