The following discography is a catalogue of the albums and singles released by the Canadian entertainment company Cirque du Soleil. The majority of these musical works are studio recordings of compositions from the original scores of Cirque du Soleil's nouveau cirque shows. Since the company's founding in 1984, various composers have been commissioned to write the music for Cirque du Soleil's many productions.

06 2. Cirque Du Soleil. Mystère (CD, Album). RCA Victor, BMG Classics. Mystère (Cass, Album, Bla).
Mystère is one of six resident Cirque du Soleil shows in Las Vegas, Nevada. Held in a custom theatre at the Treasure Island Hotel and Casino, the show was first performed on 25 December 1993, making it the company's longest running show. As with many Cirque du Soleil productions, Mystère features a mixture of circus skills, dance, elaborate sets, opera, worldbeat music, and street theatre-style comedy
The most enjoyable pieces on this album are the slow, dramatic ones such as "Egypte" and "Ulysse. The faster pieces lose something through the studio recording; the ethnic backing vocals and electric guitars tend to sound a little canned at times. Also, tracks such as "Rondo" and "Kunya Sobe" are intended to back high-energy acrobatic acts, and when you can't see the acrobats, it's hard to have a real appreciation for the music. However, overall this album is yet another triumph for Cirque du Soleil.
Mystère is a Cirque du Soleil show in permanent residence at the Treasure Island Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. It is one of seven resident Cirque du Soleil shows in Las Vegas, the others being O, Zumanity, Kà, Love, Criss Angel: Believe, and Viva Elvis. Mystère was first performed on December 25, 1993 and quickly won over audiences with its unique style of circus entertainment. As with many Cirque du Soleil productions, Mystère features a mixture of circus skills, dance, elaborate sets, opera, worldbeat music, and street theatre-style comedy. This opportunity offered some new creative territory for Cirque du Soleil. Mystère was their first show that would have its own theater, rather than touring with a circus tent. Mystère would have a permanent base in Las Vegas.
I've only heard the live album, and all I can say is that the music is without a doubt one of the best soundtacks to anything ever. From the opening baby's cry to the final 10 notes, Mystere's music puts you under a magical spell that's almost like one flamboyant and fantastical dream. As with most Cirque Du Soleil shows, there is a wide range of sounds on the CD. One minute, the soundtrack is adventurous and upbeat (Rondo/Double Face) and another it's relaxing and peaceful (Kalimando).
