Metamorphosis is the third compilation album of The Rolling Stones music released by former manager Allen Klein's ABKCO Records (who usurped control of the band's Decca/London material in 1970) after the band's departure from Decca and Klein. Released in 1975, Metamorphosis centres on outtakes and alternate versions of well-known songs recorded from 1964 to 1970.

has the makings of an orbital track from green album era. 10/10

How in gods name has this never been repressed? An absolute gem of a track that drifts along and builds to near crescendo after near crescendo only to slip back down deep again. Dreamy and sublime with flutes, floaty key pads and the 'Close Your Eyes' murmur. As said below this is a great opener or closer. For me it is all about the original mix but don't get me wrong Stacey Pullen and Frank De Wulf offer no slouch remixes....I imagine this played at daybreak the excess of the night before drifting away....

I own this great 12 inch, white labeled pressing. Lex Blackmore, part of Orson Karte, is also a great rapper/mc, altough there aren't many examples of is skills, appearing on some tracks by scottish electronic band "The Shamen". He is also responsible for the moniker "The Blue Boy" with the well known release of "Remember Me".There is a rare version of Shamen's LSI on Youtube, with rapping by Lex and vocals by Plavka (Jam & Spoon).
