ahead But the boss won't seem to let me I swear sometimes that man is out to get me.
The album is very digestible by Nine Inch Nails standards (13 Tracks, 56 minutes), but suffers from a lack of consistency. One of the beautiful ones: The Hand That Feeds is by all measurables a traditional rock song, but it’s a great one. What the track sacrifices in the band’s classic distortion is more than made up for by its brilliant writing and vicious chorus. Though it’s hardly something one would probably call groovy, it has that infectious quality that keeps listeners returning. Shadow of a shadow: The logical connection is between Ghosts and Reznor’s soundtrack to The Social Network. In many ways, Ghosts I-IV were experimental tune-ups for the partnership between Reznor and Ross before taking on a movie soundtrack together. It’s a stunning work reminiscent of so many iconic musicians, yet it still reverberates impeccably in Reznor’s nebulous anxiety.

Five years elapsed between The Downward Spiral and Nine Inch Nails' next studio album, The Fragile, which arrived as a double album in September 1999. The Fragile was conceived by making "songwriting and arranging and production and sound design. A song would start with a drum loop or a visual and eventually a song would emerge out of it and that was the song. Canadian rock producer Bob Ezrin was consulted on the album's track listing; the liner notes state that he "provided final continuity and flow.
The Black Keys Drop First Album in Five Years, 'Let's Rock': Dan Auerbach & Patrick Carney go back to the basics. The two have been away on individual projects since the release of 2014’s Turn Blue, and the five-year rest sounds like it’s given them a reinvigorated sense of The Black Keys’ blues-rock sound. Falling far from its predecessor’s groovy and synth-infused soundscape, the pair return to their roots of crunchy guitars and energetic drum beats. The record is like a homage to electric guitar, Carney said. We took a simple approach and trimmed all the fat like we used to.
