The Who. Produced by Shel Talmy. My Generation Lyrics. People try to put us d-down (Talkin' 'bout my generation) Just because we get around (Talkin' 'bout my generation) Things they do look awful c-c-cold (Talkin' 'bout my generation) I hope I die before I get old (Talkin' 'bout my generation) This is my generation This is my generation, baby.

Polydor, who would release The Who’s recordings in the UK over the next two decades, didn’t own the rights to the album, which went out of print in the UK within 12 months of its release. For years no company seemed inclined to reissue the album in Britain until, curiously, Virgin picked it up in 1980 (V2179). A 2-LP gatefold sleeve version was also released in mono with bonus tracks and a 3-LP gatefold sleeve version with stereo mixes, bonus tracks and Pete Townshend demos.
