Days of the New (also known as the Green album or Days of the New II) is the second self-titled album of Louisville rock band Days of the New. Released on August 31, 1999, it marks the first album following the break up of the original lineup and the last under Outpost. While not nearly as commercially successful as its 1997 predecessor, Green acquired stronger appreciation by critics and featured two successful singles.
Fever Ray and the song Keep the Streets Empty struck us immediately with its fateful sound and images of abandoned suburbia begun to grow in front of our eyes. We wanted to continue the journey that started in the former videos and our ambition was to catch the feeling in a very direct and true way and create a video where dream and reality intertwine. When you think about how far Green Day have come, it’s almost like watching a movie. Or rather, a series of films with one blockbuster sequel after the next, only some of the follow-ups are better than the others for reasons that shouldn’t make any sense at all. They’re one of the few rock acts to not only survive the ’90s but conquer the aughts, finding second and third lives like they’re Selina Kyle or Dorian Gray.
If it wasn't for this album, I wouldn't have known their other great songs like Basket Case, Brain Stew, Time of Your Life, etc. I also know the lyrics of all the 13 songs on this album! - randomguy2005. There are 5 reasons why this is an amazing album: 1. Boulevard of Broken Dreams 2. Holiday 3. Wake Me Up When September Ends 4. Jesus of Suburbia 5. American Idiot All amazing songs. Chippieolamus like rollercoaster. Even though I hate Good riddance (that song is too whiny for me), but the rest is just perfect! Literally, a masterpiece!
His seventh studio album Lexicon - and first to be independently released via Cooking Vinyl - features the singles All The Songs and My Love. Read our interview with Will about him deciding to leave his previous record deal with Island and how he got his music career back on track after a period of ill health. Featuring the Number 2 hit Nothing Breaks Like A Heart and the title track which hit the Top 30, Late Night Feelings is Mark Ronson's first studio album in four years and includes collaborations with Camila Cabello, Yebba and Diana Gordon.
Of the album's 13 tracks seven were featured in the soundtrack of the film. It was also quite remarkable that for the first time on a Beatles album that all of the titles had been composed by John and Paul. Since the release of With The Beatles, the previous November, their UK success had started to spread around the world. The Spring and early Summer of 1964 saw The Beatles filming and recording new material both for the movie and their next album. They also filmed a TV special, and played a few UK dates prior to jetting off on a 27 day tour that visited Denmark, The Netherlands, Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand. They eventually returned to Britain on 2nd July and four days later attended the world premiere of "A Hard Day's Night" at the London Pavilion.
