Forbidden is the 18th studio album by English rock band Black Sabbath, released in June 1995. This recording saw the reunion of Black Sabbath's Tyr-era line-up from 1990, with the return of Neil Murray and Cozy Powell.
Forbidden is the eighteenth studio album by Black Sabbath. It was released on June 20, 1995. It was the last album to feature Tony Martin on vocals, Geoff Nicholls on keyboards, and the last by the band until 2013 when Ozzy Osbourne and Geezer Butler returned for the album 13. The Illusion of Power. Can't Get Close Enough. Shaking Off the Chains.
The final Black Sabbath album with Tony Martin and by far the worst received. Released in the mid-90s, when most of the metal genre was going through a tough time, both commercially and critically (with some notable exceptions of course), the album features some additional vocals by the rapper Ice-T on the first track. Almost everyone who worked on it called it terrible, with Tony Iommi even saying that it should have been forbidden.

But poor Black Sabbath named an album Never Say Die because they meant it, and this sad album is a reminder of how dim even the brightest lights can get. Where their last album was an uneven but pleasant return to form, this is just the band going through the motions. Get a Grip" takes its riff from Iommi's own "Zero the Hero" and totally wrecks it; "Can't Get Close Enough" is an awful power metal ballad; and "Shaking Off the Chains" might be the worst Tony Martin-fronted Sabbath song.
Black Sabbath Lyrics. Forbidden Lyrics (1995). Lyrics to the Full Album on one page). Can't Get Close Enough To You. I Won't Cry For You. Guilty As Hell. If I had to live again, I'd change everything, 'Cause everything I do, you know that I can't win. You say it isn't right, but you say it isn't wrong, How the Hell am I supposed to please everyone. Tell me what it is that I'm supposed to do. I aint here for everybody, but I aint here for you, You said it isn't right, but you said it isn't wrong. I wish somebody could tell me, what it is that I've done wrong
