Halo of Blood' will be Children of Bodom's eighth disc, and having heard the full album already, we've got some good news to report - it sounds like Bodom! Although Children of Bodom have taken a familiar path with 'Halo of Blood,' the individual songs are arguably the band's most impressive work since their 2003 album, 'Hate Crew Deathroll. in 'Transference,' Children of Bodom deliver some monster riffs while frontman Alexi Laiho's vocals performance sounds more gritty and pissed off than ever. Transference has an evil vibe.

This album has an average beat per minute of 135 BPM (slowest/fastest tempos: 94/200 BPM). See its BPM profile at the bottom of the page. Tracklist Halo of Blood. BPM Profile Halo of Blood. Album starts at 96BPM, ends at 194BPM (+98), with tempos within the -BPM range. Try refreshing the page if dots are missing). Recent albums by Children of Bodom.

With Children Of Bodom’s latest releases beginning with Blooddrunk, there were maybe three or four songs on each disc that you could probably combine into one hell of an EP (I actually liked a lot of Are You Dead Yet – though I don’t view it as integral as everything up to Hatecrew). Halo Of Blood on the other hand, feels a little different. If you were to view each disc as an incremental improvement on their sound after some unspecified dip in quality, then Halo Of Blood is once again a step in the right direction. Not every song works on Halo Of Blood, and this isn’t an album that is going to win over people who have left the fold, but the album includes some really good tracks (alongside a couple of oddballs), which is what I really want to focus on, because even that initial dopamine rush from some of them was enough to. make me want to talk about Halo Of Blood.

Sound - 9 Children of Bodom started in Finland in 1993 under the name Inearthed. After several unsuccessful demos they undertook the recording of their first full length album and caught the interest of Spinefarm Records, but changed their name to Children of Bodom to avoid legal entanglements with their previous label, Shiver Records. In subsequent releases the band had a tendency to tweak their sound, adding keyboard and different compositional elements, but having most often been associated with death metal or melodic death metal  . Overall Impression - 8 " Halo of Blood " was a fun album to listen to. There is a fair amount of variety on the album including some really interesting keyboard use to help make songs sound "epic.
