The sign of any great sample-based album these days hinges upon whether or not you can even tell it’s a sample. In 2015, so many artists co-op old tracks to a younger audience that very few can tell what’s an originally written bassline, or whether or not that same bassline is from an old Chic album (let’s face it, how many classic hip-hop songs would exist without Chic?). While some artists have created amazing individual tracks based around a sample from a classic tune, other artists have made sample-based music the main drive of their creative output. One of the greatest experiences of listening to an album over the years is hearing a melody or bass line that you otherwise thought was original, only to eventually hear it from another older song that you had no knowledge of. Then again, you have the blatant karaoke versions being passed off slyly as original tuneage: Oh, wait! That melody!

There aren’t too many basslines that singlehandedly make you want to move like this 1976 banger from Stevie. Session bassist Nathan Watts delivered the goods on this one, and what a groove-heavy performance he puts in - you can almost feel his fingers burning on those formidable slides in the outro chorus. The song remains a Metallica staple to this day, but Cliff actually first performed the riff in a battle of the bands back in 1979, three years before he joined the band. Prev Page 8 of 30 Next.

Trombone 4 part should be played by bass trombone. The part names are Trombone 1 and Trombone 3, but Trombone 1 is 1st and 2nd trombones, while Trombone 3 is 3rd and 4th trombones. I omitted the piano and guitar parts, thinking that these players would be needed for auxiliary percussion, so I suppose. This is my arrangement of the song "TurtleDactyl," by Too Many Zooz. The song is mostly accurate but missing some rhythms. I will be adding those in over time as well as a drum part. We Are Number One-Too Many Zooz. Trumpet, Baritone Saxophone. Important tip: much is always used together with an uncountable noun (like 'oil' or 'water') while many is always used with nouns that are countable (like 'table' or 'computer'). It's also good to know that 'too' means that you don't like the situation, for example, "There is too much food on my plate" means that you're not happy about it. Here's an exercise to help you practice. Good luck! Lesson by Seb, teacher at EC Cape Town English school.

So many bands owe a huge amount to the work and influence of The Kinks. You Really Got Me is one of the greatest rock riffs of all time, and let's not forget that Dave Davis of the band actually invented distortion after slashing the cones in his amplifier with a razor blade; a sound which has been integral to the sound of rock and roll ever since. Factory Records changed the face of British music and Joy Division were a huge part of its success. They were also one of the first British bands to introduce the idea of a concept album, too, with 1969’s hugely successful Tommy. Who’s Next is one of the great UK rock albums, too, and the band are still talking about their generation five decades on. Georgie Gillard/Daily Mail.
